Series, Performance & Technical:
A bilingual thriller is created by Alex Pina (creator of Money Heist) and helmed by three directors: Nick Hamm, Luis Prieto & Ashley Way. This anglo-spanish thriller is all about a woman trying to solve the murder of her famous DJ brother, which occurred 20 years prior in the sun-soaked island of Ibiza, a young party destination. White Lines is little complicated, juggling between two distinct timelines (90’s and today) along with plenty of flashbacks and some straight-to-camera narration. It is the tenuous storytelling that makes the series lose its brownie points. The real strength of White Lines is definitely its impressive gallery of characters. The main character is Zoe Walker who is portrayed perfectly by Laura Haddock. The cinematography is simply breathtaking. What separates White Lines from other crime mysteries are the comic scenes that are scattered between the heavier moments. In addition, the picturesque location of Ibiza helps to give the series a distinctive identity of its own. The trance music fusion with Indian classics raises the overall energy of the show. Coupled with the plot, screenplay, and characters, Alex Pina makes one feel transported to Ibiza – NextGen Party Destination.

Overall Review:
In the nutshell, latest creation of Alex Pina’s 10 episodic rave party is an entertainment and blast to watch. This sun-kissed murder mystery may not exactly reinvent the crime drama wheel, but brings a hell of lot of fun to the genre. This summer, get your yourself soaked into the world of Trance and Who Done It Mystery.
