A grandfather, police officer and a priest join hands to investigate and find a missing child.

Overall Review: Based on korean film: Montage, Te3n takes you into an old man’s journey of the search for truth. Ribhu Dasgupta’s directorial is a suspense thriller set in Kolkata. Te3n featrures industry’s best actors Amitabh Bachchan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui & Vidya Balan in pivotal role. Sadly, movie lacks all the punches of thriler and mystery mainly due to the glitches in script and the thrills. The story or the screenplay don’t set your pulse rates rising or heartbeats racing, but lethargically crawl towards the climax. First half of the film takes lot of time to build the characters and story and thus makes the film slow but not steady. Film holds viewers’ nerves and keeps the stress construction on a high level just for few minutes in 2nd Half. Suspense of the film doesn’t stay for long and turns out to be predictable. Film could have been better gripping thriller bringing together two parallel investigations into the 2 kidnappings.

Performance & Technical Review: The legendary actor’s portrayal of a helpless but determined grandfather, who will never ever give up will make you amaze. His gestures and expressions are real & and takes you into the flow of the film. He will make you believe his madness. While Nawazuddin gets completely into the skin of his character as the police officer-turned-priest, who is looking for redemption, Vidya acts well despite her small yet pivotal role. The color palette is muted. Background score from Clinton Cerejo & Cinematography by Tushar Kanti Ray is strictly average.

PDF Verdict: One of the most awaited films of 2016 fails to translates itself into a surprising and different kind of thriller. Te3n gets the rating elevated from 2.50 to 3 for its performance and star cast. Strictly an average flick.
