A boy and a girl find themselves stuck in a whirlpool of such intense love that they would do anything, go to any extent and face all odds for the one they love.
Overall Review: Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty starrer “Hero” was high on the buzz, but film has turned out to be a fuzz. Film does not do any justice to the new comers. Film’s first half is fast, and the story doesn’t linger around the usual parameters of drama and turmoil but it loses its pace in the second half. An introduction scene of Sooraj Pancholi is the most structured framed scenes in the entire movie. The only saving grace are the picturesque locations, cinematography & the background score (by Sandeep Shirodkar) with the title track which is extremely hummable and uplifts even the mellow scenes.
Performance & Technical Review: As for performances are concerned, Sooraj Pancholi is solid and sincere. His action sequences are delight to watch. Even though he has a great body, he fails to deliver a good performance and has barely two expressions throughout the movie. Athiya Shetty looks cute (and not beautiful) but needs to improve her acting skills. Movie boasts brilliant performances by the entire supporting cast be it Tigmanshu Dhulia, Sharad Kelkar, Chetan Hansraj, Aditya Pancholi & Vivaan Bhatena.
PDF Verdict: Nikhil Advani plays safe and doesn’t offer anything new. Bad Screenplay, Poor Direction and Average Performances make Hero forgettable. Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE and reboot to original HERO – Yesteryear Classic with Love and Flamboyance.
