Overall Review:
Bajirao Mastani, directed by maverick filmmaker who has always delivered a master piece on-screen, has once again proved that he is one of the most gifted, creative directors Bollywood has ever seen. The film is all about the life of Maratha warrior-Peshwa Baji Rao of the Maratha Empire and his second wife Mastani and warrior’s relationship with his first wife Kashibai. The filmmaker has lost none of his panache for scale and grandeur. This film of Love and War has deep, engaging and visually stunning version which stays with you for long after you leave the theatre. The scale that Sanjay Leela Bhansali can bring to a story is unparalleled. The movie is high in content.

Performance & Technical Review:
The characters in the film are on next level; the director has put lof of efforts in detailing every character. After Ram-Leela, Ranveer singh and Deepika padukone are true to their character in the movie. Their on-screen chemistry has taken the movie to the next level. Ranveer looks assured as Bajirao, the man on a mission who falls in love expectedly. His energy is so infectious that he brings a high octane and intense version of it to the screen, it lights up the room in a blaze. Deepika as Mastani steals the show. From a warrior to a lover to a mother, she plays all the roles effortlessly. Electric Kashibai – Priyanka Chopra; from getting intimate with Bajirao to her rhythmic dance off with Mastani, she plays vital role in the film. Her grace and energy helps to elivate the overall theme. From the grand and detailed sets to the elaborate costume and his own personal vision, Bajirao Mastani has been Sanjay Leela’s dream project and he’s left no stone unturned to make it come to life in the best way possible. Movie has amazing visuals and great screenplay. From the thump-thumping victory beats in Malhari to the fun-filled air of Pinga and even the soulful seduction that is Deewani Mastani, Maratha Melodies has already won nation’s heart.
