About the Series:
Directed by Allyson Patel and Yash Dave, Phone-A-Friend is Sci-Fi Romantic comedy that talks on relationship between between a guy, a girl and a cellphone. The series stars Akhlaque Khan, Swati Kapoor and RJ Mantra (voice behind the phone) in prominent roles. The concept is unique and shall remind of the movie Karthik calling Karthik. The story revolves around a guy and the life change that he sees when his phone starts to talk to him making his life better.

Performance & Technical Review
Aklaque Khan as Varun and Swati Kapoor as Jia play their parts with utmost conviction. Voice artists are seldom talked about. Here, RJ Mantra (Leo / Voice behind the phone) delivers a commendable performance that kept the viewers engaged throughout the series and manages to steal the show. Tuhin Chongder and Somraj Ganguli did good job in designing the music for the series. It fits perfectly in giving series a whole new and refreshing vibe to the audience – simple yet innovative. In the technical department , cinematography and special effects from Ravivarman Neelamegam was good & editing by Sarvesh Kumar Singh was razor sharp.

Overall Review
In the nutshell, Phone-A-Friend is light-hearted humorous tale of love and friendship, that deserves to be added in your list (in this lock-down period). Despite being categorized under Sci-Fi, it has its own unique taste with added humour and punchlines.
