Bob Parr (Mr. Incredible) is left to care for the kids while Helen (Elastigirl) is out saving the world.
14 years after the original, Brad Bird’s digitally animated superhero franchise ‘Incredibles 2’ revolves around the Parr family once again. Bird wastes no time getting into the meat of this story, cleverly picking up where the last film ended, with an attack by the villain the Underminer. The sequel offers a playful and clever reversal, asking audiences to reconsider traditional male and female roles. Hence, the story is little complex and forgetful. On the flip side, the sequel lacks the fresh angle and vividness of 2004’s original but the animation, design and music makes this film INCREDIBLE. Pixar films famous for character design and art direction, keeps the same tempo for the long awaited sequel too; the animation, especially of faces and facial expressions for each of the characters is just incredible. The timing and expressions coupled with animation was completely realistic. Film just moves beautifully, sliding from one scene to another with grace and momentum. The story may feel disjointed at times, but Michael Giacchino’s incredible score smooths over any rough edges. For the composer, INCREDIBLES 2 is a triumphant return to his roots. So the question is: Was it worth the INCREDIBLY long wait? and the answer is: ‘Incredibles 2’ is A Marvelous Family Affair. It is a visual delight and has massive appeal for the whole family.
Incredibles 2 isn’t quite as incredible as its predecessor but it is still a visual delight for all ages. It is sleek, smart, beautiful and fun family film. In short, it is an INCREDIBLY LOADED film.Go for it!!!
