Bhavesh Joshi Superhero is an action film about a young man who wants to continue doing the right and challenge the wrong. And on this journey, he discovers that he’s destined to do bigger things, which will transform him from a common man into a Superhero.
Vikramaditya Motwane (Director of Udaan, Lootera & Trapped) is all set to tell the story of Desi Superhero: Bhavesh Joshi Superhero starring Harshvardhan Kapoor. An action packed film that traces the journey of a group of friends who set out on the path of righteousness. The film puts Mumbai’s locations to excellent use. Bhavesh Joshi Superhero works beautifully for the first half. The second half drags and brings down the otherwise decent momentum of the film. moves away from common sense as it descends into genre territory. It doesn’t help that its leading man fails to take audiences along. Harshvardhan Kapoor seems at ease and more convincing in his role as the crime eroding superhero than his debut film Mirzya. Priyanshu Painyuli as Bhavesh is a revelation and his performance is note-worthy. We have only one female actor named Shreiyah Sabharwal has limited presence. The cinematography and action scenes are major highlights. With composer Amit Trivedi and lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya one can expect something zingy and spicy but there isn’t much remarkable about the music of Bhavesh Joshi Superhero. Backgrund scorpe too is just an average. Overall, subject of the film promised a superhero but by the time he makes his appearance we are already weary and tired. Film doesn’t entirely succeed, still its a decent efforts from Phantom Films in Superhero Genre.
Bhavesh Joshi Superhero is engaging in parts but overall it suffers from having too much to say and not quite sure of how to say it. Watch this film only if you have the palette for something different than the usual.
