Overall Review:
Peyton Reed’s Ant-Man and the Wasp is sequel to 2015’s Ant-Man, and the twentieth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). First thing first, this is the perfect film to come after the MCU’s action-packed blockbuster Avengers: Infinity Wars. This film is complete contrast to MCU’s blockbuster: Avengers – Infinity wars, it is feather light, low on action and humorous with bright visual. The film is a bit slow getting started and hence this leaves plenty of room for characters to grow, change, and adapt naturally. but it does have some great character moments as well as humor around the build-up to the action sequences. Evangeline Lilly in the role of Hope Van Dyne (Wasp) steals the show. She’s incredible, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man evolves himself as a hero, As for the supporting characters, Michael Douglas is adequate enough as Dr Hank Pym while it’s nice to see him pairing with Michelle Pfeiffer for the first time ever. Speaking of Pfeiffer, she made the best use of her limited screen time as Pym’s wife, Janet. All the characters including the villain/supporting cast are written very light and properly into the plot. Ant-Man & The Wasp has its flaws but still has its moments. Overall, ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’ is not as epic in scale as some of the past Marvel films, but thanks to a likeable cast and some timely humor, it should keep fans happy until the next chapter in the series.

PDF Verdict:
Ant-Man & the Wasp is a fun and energetic film that pushes past the bleak nature of superhero flicks and makes something fun for the whole family to enjoy. If one is looking for a fun night out at the movies and wanting a good superhero movie, this 20th edition of MCU is worth the price of admission. Another JEWEL in the MCU crown. Kudos !!!
