Overall Review:
The two power stars viz: Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor, comes together after 27 years in Umesh Shukla’s light hearted drama ‘102 Not Out’. Film is based on playwright Saumya Joshi’s well known Gujarati play by the same name. The story that revolves around a quirky father-son duo, Dattatreya and Babulal, essayed by Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor, is a slice-of-life comedy drama with a universal connect. Staying true to the play, movie too has Gujarati setting. Amitabh Bacchan – the Megastar is playing a 102-year-old man, making it truly a one of a kind character and Rishi Kapoor plays a 75-year-old man, making it one of those really rare films where all central characters are senior citizens. Apart from their age, what makes Dattatreya and Babulal stand out is their different outlook towards life. At 102, daddy cool wants to break the record of the oldest man alive — a 118-year-old Chinese —while his 75-year-old son has resigned to a life of drudgery and boredom. Umesh Shukla’s film is engaging and humorous. Thanks to editor Bodhaditya Banerjee who cuts the film sharply without compromising on its essence and keeping it restrcited to runtime of 102 minutes. The director takes out best from both the legendary actors with their impassioned performances. They have once again proved OLD IS GOLD. Jimit Trivedi in supporting cast is equally good. Salim-Sulaiman music is average. Laxman Utekar cinematography is apt and suits the overall film. Overall, ‘102 Not Out’ is beautiful exploration of family, friendship and relationship.

PDF Verdict:
It’s not often that one gets to see clean entertainers that can be viewed and enjoyed with the entire family. one such film that will make you laugh and warm your heart at the same time is Umesh Shukla’s ‘102 Not Out’. “Celebrate life, no matter how old or how young you are, because these moments will never come back.”
